Amber, on pushing legislators for additional funding for our public health resources here locally. I am assuming we need to reach out to our federal representatives? Or should I write to both the state, local and federal representatives?

As an aside, your work is so deeply appreciated. My internal medicine doc husband checks your updates like clockwork. Thank you for doing this data collection and analysis during this pandemic and sharing it with us all!

Sara Ellen, I think we need to talk to elected officials at both the state and federal level because they determine public health funding. So your congressional representatives and senators and your state house representatives and state senators. You can see who your representation is by visiting the My Georgia Voter Page: https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do.

Also, I'm deeply gratified to know that you and your husband find the newsletter to be helpful. I promise that I have families like yours in mind when I'm writing, knowing the personal risks that you all are taking to care for your communities. If memory serves, I taught your son last year. I plan to be at graduation and would love to meet you and shake your hands. That's a ways off, of course, but it is something I look forward to.
