As discussed last week, it’s a complex respiratory disease ecosystem out there these days. This week we will take a look at three respiratory diseases and how they are trending across the United States: COVID-19, Influenza and Respiratory Syncitial Virus (RSV).
COVID-19
We’ll start with COVID-19 since that’s the virus people might be most familiar with. It is also the least remarkable of the three viruses of interest this week. As a reminder, we do have a vaccine for COVID-19. In fact, if you haven’t received a dose of vaccine within the past 2 months, there is a new bivalent booster for you. Bivalent means it is targeting two variants of the virus: the original variant and omicron from last winter.
