Good afternoon readers! Today we’ll do a recap of the week’s numbers for the state of Georgia and some concerning trends we’re starting to see with respect to state to state data reporting.
First, let’s go over the big picture for Georgia with weekly totals for the big metrics.
In the past week, we saw the following:
17,777 newly reported cases (PCR + Antigen tests), a decrease of 43% compared to the previous week. Represented by the blue line in the graph above.
1117 newly reported COVID-19 hospital admissions, a decrease of 16% compared to the previous week. Represented by the gray line in the graph above.
102 newly reported COVID-19 ICU admissions, an increase of 3% compared to the previous week. Represented by the yellow line in the graph above.
591 newly reported COVID-19 deaths, a slight decrease of 1% compared to the previous week. Represented by the orange line in the graph above.
